Lights, Laughter, and Local Cheer: Your Liberty Hill Holiday Handbook

‘Tis the season to be jolly — and Liberty Hill is decking the halls, lighting up the streets, and filling the air with festive cheer! As the holiday spirit dances through every corner, the city becomes a merry wonderland with joyous celebration. You can run trails, celebrate at the annual festival, watch the parade, and shop ‘till you drop. Sounds good, right? Yep, we agree, so here’s the info to help you plan!

Mosaic Trail Race

Running the Mosaic Trail Race along the beautiful San Gabriel River is one way to start the season. You’ll get fresh air and burn off calories before the big feast. Now that’s what we call a win-win!

The race is on December 9th at Indian Mound Ranch, a private historic estate with beautiful trails, and this is your opportunity to enjoy the scenery while racing with a diverse group. The race is known as “a mosaic of fun” for a good reason — there are seven distance options so your entire family can join in on the festive fun. You can camp there the night before to have extra special family time. Who knows, you may end up with a new holiday tradition!

Liberty Hill Christmas Festival and Parade

Speaking of traditions, the annual downtown Liberty Hill Christmas Festival and Parade on December 9th should be on your list. The town gathers at this FREE event to shop, eat, listen to live music and watch the parade. The festival runs from 10 AM-3 PM, and the lighted parade starts at 6 PM at Liberty Hill Elementary School and travels down Main Street.

At the festival, you can shop, eat, drink, enjoy good music, ice skate, throw “snowballs", and ride in a horse-drawn wagon. Check out the photos of last year’s festival to get an idea of the memories waiting to be made! The floats are a sight to see at the parade as the participants go all out with sparkling lights and holiday magic. Be sure to come early and bring chairs if you want to claim your spot along the route.
