If you or your kids have ever wondered what it is like to be a farmer, this local spot is a must-visit! Not only can you spend time outdoors and get a little dirty, but you can take part in regenerative agriculture.  Isle Acre Farms invites you to stop by on select weekdays and weekends this month for a fun day picking fresh veggies.

Registration opens two days before each pick date to ensure there is enough for everyone. The cost is $5 per person, making it an affordable family outing whether you pick veggies or cheer on your friends and family as they select fresh produce! You can expect to pick carrots, onions, yellow squash, cucumbers, sunflowers, bell peppers, hot peppers, cantaloupes, Tomatoes, eggplants, ground cherries, and okra. To help you prepare in advance, you might want to check out Isle Acre Farm's picking guide for these veggies.

More Information About Isle Acre Farms

Isle Acre Farms launched their veggie-picking farm in May, allowing the community to harvest their produce and eat real food without chemicals. Led by Pete and Becky Tamez, Isle Acre specializes in organically grown produce featuring delicious vegetables like tomatoes, squash, carrots, and onions. They recently relocated from Leander to Liberty Hill in April 2023 to expand their operations and offer more to the local community.

The veggie-picking farm will be open from May through July, closing in August and September and reopening in the fall.

There is an admission fee per person and additional costs per pound based on what is picked from the farm. Isle Acre Farms is located at 330 N. Bear Creek Road, Liberty Hill.
