The Water Tower Kickstart Series is BACK!

Kickstart your weekends this summer with live music in Liberty Hill. Come out one Thursday a month to enjoy free live entertainment, activities, food, and drinks during the city’s annual Water Tower Kickstart Series.

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on June 8, July 20, and August 10, the Water Tower Parking Lot at 822 Loop 322 transforms into a music venue with a covered stage and dance floor. Watch the website and follow the city on Facebook to find out which bands will be there each night!

Grab food and beverages from vendors at the shows or take a short walk to Main Street to choose from various dining options. You could even pack a picnic basket to enjoy the evening of fun and music. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and the entire family for live music and activities for the kids!

Be Part of the Show

If you want a more hands-on experience, sign up as a vendor or bring your food truck. You can also volunteer to help arrange, set up, and tear down. Click here to get involved in these and other city events.

Get your name out there by sponsoring the series, too! Your sponsorship funds pay for kids' activities like face painting, balloon art, and inflatables. As a sponsor, you’ll receive a social media shout-out and an event sign and booth.

Add these shows to your summer calendar to look forward to free fun each month this summer.

Parking Lot and Water Tower Carry On Musical Tradition

The water tower parking lot is more than just a gathering area. The location honors history by continuing the musical tradition started by Willie Nelson in 1975.

The old water tower in the parking lot holds a replication of artist Jim Franklin's vintage poster that promoted Willie Nelson's third annual 4th of July picnic in Liberty Hill in 1975. Lights illuminate the tower for special occasions, like on January 7, 2021, when purple lights honored the Liberty Hill football team's state semifinals game.

The parking lot, located across from Wetzel Park, has 54 downtown parking spots that also serve as the space for various city events and festivals. The lot marks the beginning of the Downtown Shared-Use Path, a 10-foot trail for cyclists and pedestrians to travel down Loop 332 by Foundation Park to Highway 29.

Living in a new home at Lariat Liberty Hill gives you easy access to all local events, plus nearby art galleries, wineries, symphonies, museums, live theater, and fine eateries. You’ll enjoy festivals, civic events, wine tastings, and art celebrations—all within minutes of your home.

But you won’t have to leave the Lariat community to find many fun activities—we have numerous planned amenities! You can enjoy dock fishing, block parties, country walks, and playground fun in the park and open green spaces. Play with your dog in the park, get wet in the pool and splash pads, walk or bike on the trails, and stay fit with outdoor sports!
