Located on 101 Country Road 257 in Liberty Hill, Thirsty Mule features proprietary wines developed and produced from ripe Texas and California grapes, aged to perfection, and bottled in small lots. They have a wide selection of wines ranging from light to intense, soft to robust, whites, sweets, and reds, all of which are fascinating, notable, and award-winning.
Thirsty Mule is also home to the famous Schitz Creek Distillery/Brewery, which offers a variety of spirits produced from grains harvested right here in Texas. Schitz Creek Distillery provides guests with a comprehensive line of mixed beverages crafted using its brand spirits. With a well-designed tasting bar, locals and visitors can have ten craft beers on tap, all made on-site. Tastings and pints are available.
Visitors to the Thirsty Mule can opt for a wine and liquor-tasting experience. At Thirsty Mule, guests can choose any four wines for $15 or any four wines and get a souvenir glass for $17. However, guests must be seated at an indoor or outdoor table for tastings. On the other hand, Schitz Distillery allows guests to choose any four liquors for $12, or pay $15 and receive a souvenir glass to take home.
In addition, guests can bring in their food or satisfy their food cravings by munching on the specially-made Thirsty Mule pizza while sipping one of the many locally-made wines and liquors available. On Saturdays, get ready to dance to the sounds of the Thirsty Mule live bands, with occasional appearances from some of Texas's sought-after live bands and musicians.
